Creating simple, elegant solutions to user experience problems big and small.
I design and prototype well-organized, usable, and innovative web, mobile, and desktop user interfaces in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
In May of 2011 I completed my interaction design master's thesis project on improving museum visitor experience using a hand-held guide, which included a case study at the Carnegie Museum of Art. As a user experience intern at Google New York (summer 2010), I worked on the Google Docs mobile app, distilling features from the desktop version down to the essentials for mobile use.
Currently, I am an in-house designer with the Open Learning Initiative (OLI) at Carnegie Mellon University. OLI develops academic courses that are designed from the ground up for online learning. I collaborate with a diverse team on user experience concerns for OLI's public website and courses, and tools for instructors, students, and course developers. I am very excited be a part of a project that is focused on improving learning outcomes for students as well as providing high-quality education for independant learners!
